Music Ministries
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir rehearses from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. If you like to sing and are ninth grade through adult, please give the choir a try. We sing in a variety of musical styles, lead worship, and have a great time serving together. The choir sings most Sundays between September and May. If you are unable to join the choir for the entire season, you may join us during Lent, Holy Week, Advent, etc., or sign up for part of the season.
Servant Song
Servant Song rehearsals are from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. If you sing or play an instrument and are ninth grade through adult, this may be the group for you. The group leads the 10:30 a.m. contemporary service on Sundays, and uses a variety of musical styles.
Bells of Joy Handbell Choir
Bells of Joy Handbell Choir rehearses on Wednesdays, 5:30-6:15 p.m., and includes ringers from ninth grade through adult. Ringers should have some experience reading music. If you are interested in learning more about handbell ringing, please contact Catherine Langord Wall.
Youth Choir
Youth Choir, singers in confirmation or older, will rehearse and sing for special worship services throughout the year. Rehearsals work around the schedule of the singers. At this time we are rehearsing at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. If you would like to sing or have any questions about this choir, please contact Catherine Langord Wall for information.
3rd-6th Grade Choir
3rd-6th Grade Choir rehearsals are on Wednesdays, 3:45-4:20 p.m. – right after school. Parents of choir members are invited to volunteer for carpooling from the local elementary schools. This choir will take part in worship services about once a month, and will work toward a musical and other special events throughout the year.
Youth Bell Choir
Youth Bell Choir is open to students in third grade and older who have had some experience reading music (having played piano or played an instrument in school). Handbell ringing is lots of fun and a great way to serve God’s family at Christ Lutheran Church. Rehearsals are scheduled for Wednesdays, 4:25-5:00 p.m.
Visual Arts Committee
The Visual Arts Committee is studying worship and the arts in order to enhance our worship through visual arts – as well as serving in an advisory capacity to the Worship Board and the Property Board. If you have questions or are interested in serving on this committee, please contact one of the committee members, Gisela Lee, Mike McNaughton, Steve Urtel, Toni Ziton, Roxanne Rosell or Catherine Langord Wall.
